Tomàs Cusiné

2016 Auzells

BLEND | Macabeu, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay & Albariño

VINEYARDS | Older vines of Macabeu (35-95 years) with the other varieties planted in 2004 on parcels located on slopes on calcerous clay soils with gravels and good drainage.

WINEMAKING | 10% of the wine ferments and ages 3 months sur lies, with bâtonnage in new French oak barrels and the remainder in stainless steel tanks.

TASTING NOTES | A kaleidoscope full of sensations. The nose is very fresh with intense, vibrantly fragrant aromas of ripe pears with bright apple notes, fresh asparagus, lifted florals and subtle minerally Ginseng notes. Rich bodied, bright and elegantly concentrated flavours of sweet stone fruits are entwined with herbal and rooted mineral notes. Refreshing and refined, with fine textures and a crisp, poised finish.
